What We Believe<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

What we believe matters. It impacts everything about us\u2014our perception of reality, good and evil, even truth, itself.\u00a0Through His eternal truth, the Lord gives us hope in a world full of uncertainty and deception.\u00a0We invite you to consider our core beliefs.<\/p>\n\n\n

\n\t\t\t

Scripture<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the only verbally inspired Word of God, authoritative, inerrant and God-breathed. Divine inspiration extends equally and fully to all parts and words of the Bible, so that the whole Bible, in the original manuscripts, is without error. The Bible is God\u2019s revelation to humanity and is therefore the final authority for all Christian faith and practice. (2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Pet 1:20-21)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t

The Living God<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe in one triune God, existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternal in being, identical in essence (not three separate Gods or modes of existence), equal in power and glory, and having the same divine attributes and perfections. (Deut 6:4; Matt 28:19; 2 Cor 13:14<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t

Creation<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe that God, according to His sovereign will and for His own glory, created the universe, without any evolutionary process, and thus gave it an existence distinct from Himself, yet always dependent on Him. We believe that God created in six literal twenty-four hour days. (Gen 1:1-2:25; Exo 20:11; Col 1:15-17; Heb 1:1-3<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t

The Evil One<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe in the existence of Satan as a personal being and a fallen angelic creature, who is the open and declared enemy of God and of humanity. (Job 1:6-12; Isa 14:12-17; Ezek 28:11-19; 2 Cor 4:3-4, 1 Pet 5:8<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t

Humanity<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe that humanity was created in the image and likeness of God, but through Adam\u2019s sin we all fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God with no ability to undo this fallen condition. Unless we are born again by God the Holy Spirit, we cannot see the kingdom of God. (Gen 1:26-27; Rom 3:23, 5:12; Eph 2:1-3; Jn 3:5-8<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t

The Lord Jesus Christ<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the God-Man, being the eternal Son of God who became man without ceasing to be God, in order to reveal the Father and save sinners. We believe that, as a man, He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. (Lk 1:30-35; Jn 1:1-2, 14, Heb 4:14<\/strong>). We believe that Christ accomplished our salvation through His substitutionary death on the cross and that He was literally and physically resurrected, which proves the certainty of our salvation. (Isa 53:10-12; Rom 4:25; 1 Pet 1:3-5, 18-19<\/strong>) We believe that Christ is currently in heaven, seated at the right hand of God the Father, where He intercedes and advocates for us as our Hight Priest. (Heb 1:3, 3:1, Rom 8:34; 1 Jn 2:1-2<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t

Salvation<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t

We believe that salvation is a gracious gift of God received only through faith in Christ, whose death on the Cross is the means by which God offers redemption and peace to sinners who would otherwise be His enemies (Jn 3:16; Rom 5:10; Eph 1:7, 2:8-9; Acts 16:31<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

The Church<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe that the church universal, the Body and Bride of Christ, which began on the day of Pentecost, is a spiritual entity made up of all believers of this age. (Acts 2:1-4; 1 Cor 12:12-13; 2 Cor 11:2; Eph 1:22-23<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t

Christ\u2019s Return & His Kingdom<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe that the next prophetic event to be fulfilled is the coming of Christ in the air to gather all Church Age believers (whether deceased or alive at His coming), otherwise known as the Resurrection or Rapture of the Church. (1 Cor 15:51-57; 1 Thess 4:13-18; Titus 2:11-13<\/strong>) This event will be followed by the final seven years of Daniel\u2019s prophecy of Seventy Weeks, the latter half of which Jesus calls the \u201cGreat Tribulation.\u201d (Dan 9:27; Matt 24:15-21; Rev 6-19)<\/strong> At the end of the Tribulation, Christ will return to the earth in unimaginable power and glory to eliminate evil and establish His kingdom, first for a thousand years on this earth and then for eternity in the new heavens and earth. (Zech 14:4-11; Matt 24:29-30; Rev 19:11-20:6, 21-22)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t

Life After Death<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe that, at death, the human spirits of those who have trusted in Christ pass immediately into His presence and remain there in conscious joy until their bodies are resurrected and reunited with their spirits for eternal blessing and fellowship the Lord. (Lk 23:43; 1 Cor 15:52; 2 Cor 5:8; Phil 1:23; 1 Thess 4:16-18<\/strong>) We believe that the human spirits of unbelievers, at death, enter into conscious suffering until the final judgment of the Great White Throne at the close of Christ\u2019s one-thousand-year reign, when their spirits and bodies will be reunited and cast into the Lake of Fire for eternal punishment. (Lk 16:19-26; 2 Thess 1:7-9; Rev 20:11-15<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t

Walk of Faith<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe that the child of God is called to walk by faith in the power of the indwelling Spirit, as opposed to the power of the flesh (our sinful nature). (Rom 6:11\u201313; 8:2, 4, 12\u201313) <\/strong>Walking by unbelief in the power of the flesh produces the things of this fallen world\u2014the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the boastful pride of life. (1 Jn 1:5\u20137, 2:16<\/strong>) Walking by faith in the power of the Holy Spirit keeps the flesh in subjection to Christ and produces divine good to the honor of God. (Gal 5:16\u201323; Eph 4:22\u201324; Col 2:1-10; 1 Pet 1:14\u201316<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

\n\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t

Gender, Marriage, Sexuality<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t

<\/span><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t
\n\n

We believe that God made us in His image, as either male or female, and any attempt to deny or reverse this creation violates God\u2019s design. (Gen 1:27;<\/strong>\u00a0Deut 22:5<\/strong>) We believe that marriage is a sacred binding union between one male and one female and any other definition of marriage violates God\u2019s design. (Gen 2:18-25; Matt 19:4-5<\/strong>) The marriage union is sealed through sexual intercourse reserved for one husband and one wife. (Lev 18:22, 20:13; Rom 1:26\u201327; 1 Cor 6:9\u201311; 1 Tim 1:9\u201310<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
